| The Centre for Studies of Translation, Interpreting and Cognition (CSTIC) is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 3rd International Conference on Cognitive Research on Translation, Interpreting and Language Acquisition, to be held on 3-4 November 2016 at University of Macau, Macau SAR, China.While the first two conferences in 2014 and 2015 focused entirely on cognitive research on translation and interpreting, this year’s conference will expand to include cognitive research on language acquisition. This conference will provide an international forum for the presentation and discussion of up-to-date cognitive research on translation, interpreting and language acquisition. Renowned scholars of translation process research and language acquisition will be invited to address the conference. | ||||||||

We are now inviting proposals for 30-minute presentations, addressing the topic through (but not limited to) one of the following themes:

| Language of Conference and Publication | ||||||||
| The language of the conference will be English.A selection of the research papers will be published as a book following the conference. | ||||||||
Submission and Acceptance of Abstract |
||||||||
| Those who are interested in making a presentation at the conference should indicate your initial interest by replying to Mr. Jordan Xiaodong Liu at fah.translation@umac.mo by 30 April 2016. Please state your full name and institution/affiliation in the email message(Click to download Form for initial interest information). The deadline for submitting the abstract is 30 June 2016. The letter of acceptance will be sent by 30 July 2016. (Click to download Form for Abstract Submission )Abstracts should be written in English and about 250-300 words. Please kindly submit abstracts to fah.translation@umac.mo before deadline. Oral presentations will be 30 minutes long (20-minute talk plus 10-minute discussion). | ||||||||
Registration Fee |
||||||||
| All participants will pay a conference registration fee of MOP 1,000 (approximately USD 125). The fee includes the following: access to conference sessions, conference programme, lunches and refreshments, and a formal dinner. Information on payment methods will be further updated on our website. | ||||||||
Accommodation |
||||||||
| For those who wish to book on-campus accommodation, please indicate in your email message the nights you may need to stay. Rooms will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. On-campus accommodation (single room, without breakfast) costs about MOP 250 per night. Payment methods of the room will be announced in due course. | ||||||||
