Postdoctoral Fellows (2-3 posts)

The Centre for Studies of Translation, Interpreting and Cognition (CSTIC) at University of Macau welcome applications from postdoctoral fellows. Posts are usually offered initially for 6 months (up to one year), with the possibility of a further year. Starting salaries are from USD 40,000 per annum (or pro rata), commensurate with qualifications.

Applications are welcome for the research themes listed below. However, CSITC will consider proposals for investigating other themes as well. Successful candidates are expected to begin their fellowships in May 2016 and as soon as possible thereafter.

  1. Translation Process Studies
  2. Interpreting Process Studies
  3. Empirical Translation Studies
  4. Corpus application in Cognitive Processes of Translation and Interpreting

Prerequisites:

Applicants must possess a doctoral degree. However, candidates who are finishing up their degrees, may also be considered.

Applications:

Applicants should fill out the CSTIC Fellowship Application Form (please click the underlined to download the form), where they should state the research theme for which they are applying on the application form and demonstrate in their research plan how their expertise relates to the theme they are applying for.     

Reference letters:
At least two reference letters, on official letterhead and signed by the referees, are to be sent directly by the referees.
